During the final years of Franco’s dictatorship, Fernando, an aging republican exile, returns to the modest Castilian village of his birth. There he forms a quiet friendship with Aurora, a young, attractive teacher who has recently arrived, sparking reflections on memory, identity and the lingering shadows of the past.
