The Lost Tribe

Captain Rawlings dispatches two mercenaries, Wally West and George DeNomand, to locate the hidden trail to Dzamm. The mission signals Rawlings' plan to exploit the fabled city's wealth. Their bold assignment plants the first seed of the coming conflict.

The mercenaries push toward Dzamm and kill a number of natives along the way. The murders reveal their mercenary brutality and raise the stakes for anyone who might stop them.

A large pride of wild lions attacks the two mercenaries and overpowers them. They are eaten alive, underscoring the jungle's lethal dangers guarding Dzamm.

Jungle Jim, roaming the jungle, is approached by Li Wanna, the daughter of Dzamm's chief religious official Zoron. She begs for his aid to counter Rawlings and his men.

Li Wanna reveals that crates of precious stones are rumored to be hidden in the temple of Dzamm. Jim realizes the treasure could be a bargaining tool against Rawlings. They decide to pursue the temple's secrets.

The duo hurries to the site and finds the henchmen's corpses. They witness a dangerous lion encounter and climb a tree to safety as an African elephant arrives, scaring the lions away.

Jim and Li Wanna return to Zoron's residence to discuss a peaceful resolution. They conclude that offering Rawlings a handful of diamonds will defuse the danger without bloodshed.

Chot is hypnotized by Norina, who is revealed to be allied with Calhoun. They turn out to be on Rawlings' payroll, adding a layer of betrayal to the plan.

Jim rescues a gorilla and its offspring from a ferocious lion and names it Zimba. The new companion accompanies him on the quest and proves invaluable.

Rawlings' followers capture Jungle Jim. Norina tries to free him but is killed by Calhoun. Jim's pet fowl Caw Caw unties his ropes and, with that, he breaks loose and knocks out several of Rawlings' men.

Li Wanna is captured, and Jim is forced to reveal the path to Dzamm to Rawlings to save her. The trap tightens as the criminals close in on the temple.

Jim and Li Wanna reach the temple as criminals raid the relics. Zimba and the gorillas attack the raiders, killing many of them. Rawlings and Wilson escape, briefly taking Jungle Jim captive, but are killed by Zimba.

Chot, mortally wounded, asks for forgiveness before he dies. With Rawlings and his crew slain, order is restored in Dzamm and peace returns.
