The Legend of Zorro

In 1850, California faces a crucial moment in its history as it votes on whether to join the United States as a state. The outcome of this vote could significantly alter the future of the region and its people.

The masked hero, Alejandro Murrieta, known as Zorro, intervenes to prevent a plot to steal the ballots pertaining to California's statehood. This event highlights his commitment to justice and the protection of the people's rights.

During a confrontation with gunman Jacob McGivens, Alejandro's mask is briefly removed, leading to his identification by Pinkerton agents. This pivotal moment endangers his family and introduces an element of personal risk to his mission.

The next day, Pinkerton agents confront Alejandro's wife, Elena, coercing her into divorcing him under intimidation. This act of pressure not only tests their marriage but also places Elena in a precarious position.

Three months after their separation, Alejandro is weighed down by the emotional toll of being apart from Elena and their son, Joaquin. Even as he contemplates stepping away from his role as Zorro, he feels a growing urge to return.
