In the late 1960s, Dhofar rose up against the British‑backed Sultanate of Oman in a democratic, anti‑imperialist guerrilla movement. Filmmaker Heiny Srour and her crew trekked 500 miles across desert and mountains on foot, all while the British Royal Air Force bombarded the area, to reach the front lines and produce a rare visual record of this largely forgotten conflict.
