Pierre, a young lawyer drowning in debts caused by his lavish mistress Florence, endangers his family’s firm. To prevent scandal he is sent abroad and volunteers for the French Foreign Legion. Stationed in the Moroccan desert, his unit frequents a bar‑restaurant‑brothel run by the shady Mr. Clement, who shares the premises with the mystic fortune‑teller Ms. Blanche. Still haunted by Florence, Pierre meets Irma, a strikingly similar girl with different hair who has lost part of her recent memory. With Blanche’s counsel, Irma begins to act as Florence, and as she falls for Pierre, their tangled deception deepens.
