Human astronauts Burke and Virdon, with their chimp Galen, become entangled in brutal gladiatorial contests overseen by prefect Tolar on a post‑human planet. After evading gorilla police, they discover an abandoned research facility and a computer archive holding records of the former human‑ruled world. The telefilm combines the 1974 TV episodes “The Gladiators” and “The Legacy.”
