Maan is grieving Sam, her painter lover who succumbed to an incurable illness. Before his death he clung to memories of a childhood landscape in Qingdao, China. Determined, Maan travels there, where postman Lit (Liu Ye) offers to guide her. As they search together, a bond forms, yet Sam’s memory continues to dominate Maan’s heart.
