Oskars lives in a typical seaside village where his father’s authority and age‑old fishing traditions dominate. He dreams of larger nets, an ice cellar and true independence from the fish wholesaler. Only the carefree Fredis believes in him; together they construct a new fish trap, which wins the respect of even the most seasoned fishermen.
