Set in the late 1940s, a large land‑survey expedition in remote Eastern Siberia is nearly finished when a telegram reports people vanishing near Yambuy. The expedition’s chief and radioman, aided by Evenk hunters, venture into the wilderness. Their perilous trek uncovers a ferocious man‑eating bear responsible for the disappearances.
