Dedicated to “all victims of intolerance,” this 1966 short documentary chronicles the birth of skateboarding in Montreal, a pastime condemned by police and adults. It celebrates the exhilaration of speed and freedom as the first Canadian film on the sport, following boys and girls who revel in carefree downhill rides. Director Jean‑Claude Jutra presents the footage as a tongue‑in‑cheek, faux‑anti‑skateboarding mock‑propaganda.
