The Devil Smokes (and Saves the Burnt Matches in the Same Box)

In mid-90s Mexico City, five young siblings are unexpectedly left in the care of their grandmother following the sudden disappearance of their parents. Struggling to cope, the family faces mounting challenges as the boundary between reality and a disturbing, inexplicable force begins to fade. The grandmother's unsettling visions and increasing fear contribute to her withdrawal, while the children’s hold on reality weakens. A conflict with their neighbors leads to further isolation, as the siblings retreat from the outside world and confront an increasingly mysterious situation.
