The Chosen One

In the series’ climax Jodie finally confronts the source of his uncanny abilities. After Angelo’s desperate attempt to kill Jodie ends up wounding his friend Tuka, Jodie resurrects the boy—this time restoring his true self—while simultaneously materialising before each of his friends in a different corner of the town. The act erases any doubt: the boy can silence crowds with a psychic shock, turn water into wine, and bring the dead back to life, confirming that his powers are not mere stage tricks.

The miracle splits the town into two fervent factions, both eager to crown Jodie as a living saviour. In the aftermath Jodie learns the harrowing truth about his lineage: the woman who bore him was impregnated by a secret Satanic cult whose aim was to raise the Devil’s offspring, not a messianic saviour. He receives the revelation with a chilling calm, accepting that his miracles stem from that dark heritage.

A brief flash‑forward shows Jodie walking away from his hometown, his face set on a larger, ominous destiny. He embraces the role his parents intended, hinting at a future where he will wield his powers for political conquest and a holy war of his own design. The ending therefore flips the familiar “chosen‑one” myth on its head, warning that unquestioning belief can elevate even the most malevolent figure to worship.
