A police car arrives at the Sawyer residence, where tensions are palpable as the Carson family, distant relatives of the Sawyers, barricade themselves inside. Armed and terrified, they await the outcome of the confrontation with Sheriff Hooper.

Sheriff Hooper demands the surrender of Jed, known as Leatherface, asserting that Sally's testimony implicates him in the murders of her friends. Drayton Sawyer, however, insists their family is simply defending themselves against the outside threat.

After much negotiation, Drayton reluctantly agrees to surrender Jed, but chaos erupts when the mayor and townsfolk launch an attack on the Sawyer home with the intent to annihilate the family. The house is set ablaze, leading to tragic casualties among the Sawyers.

In the aftermath of the attack, Gavin Miller discovers Loretta Sawyer, barely alive and cradling a baby. He cruelly takes the infant and leaves Loretta to die, while he and his wife Arlene plan to adopt the child, naming her Heather.

We fast forward to the present day, where we meet adult Heather Miller, who works at a grocery store. She's excited about a road trip to New Orleans with her friends, totally unaware of the dark legacy she is about to uncover.

Heather receives shocking news about her grandmother's death and an unexpected inheritance—a house she never knew existed. Confronting her adoptive parents reveals the painful truth about her origins, igniting her determination to uncover her real family history.

Despite her parents' warnings, Heather sets off for Texas with her boyfriend Ryan, friend Kenny, and Nikki. Their road trip takes a dark turn when they accidentally hit a hitchhiker named Darryl, who insists on joining them on the journey.

Upon arriving at the inherited house, they are greeted by Farnsworth, who hands Heather a set of keys and a letter from her grandmother. The beauty of the house captures their attention, but little do they know of the horrors it harbors.
