Introverted James, a strong coder, shares a dorm with Lance, a charismatic but carefree student. Lance reveals plans to develop a campus-wide hookup app called Jungle and tests James's coding skills. He offers a tempting deal: James can lead development in exchange for funds to transfer to an Ivy League school. The proposal marks the start of James's deep dive into the project.

To escape Lance's coercion, James hides in Hannah's sorority house, where the sisters offer protection. They agree to let him stay on one condition: he must create a relationship-focused app for them instead of Jungle. The tension between old ambitions and new loyalties grows.

James returns briefly to his dorm; Lance and friends pressure him to stay and rebuild the app, using threats and coercion. He escapes by slipping away with a relaxing tea and retreating back to the safety of the sorority. The power struggle between James and Lance intensifies.

Lance betrays James by leaking his role in Jungle to the press, dragging James into a public scandal. Hannah confronts James about the project, confronting him with the personal and relational costs of his work. The revelation forces James to reckon with the consequences of his ambition.

James confesses that he worked on Jungle to connect with Hannah, but admits the app never truly delivered real connection since Hannah never downloaded it. He urges everyone to stay off the apps to force genuine relationships. In the emotional climax, James and Hannah share a kiss as they acknowledge their feelings for each other.
