Suspiria

Suzy Banyon, an aspiring ballet student, flies to Germany to attend a prestigious dance academy. Upon her arrival, a torrential downpour creates an ominous atmosphere, unnerving her as she heads toward the school.

As Suzy approaches the academy, she witnesses a blonde girl running away in terror. The girl, later identified as Pat Hingle, seems to be escaping something sinister, yelling incoherent words as thunder drowns out her cries.

After fleeing the academy, Pat seeks refuge at a friend's apartment. In a harrowing encounter, she is attacked through a window by an unseen force and meets a brutal end, setting off a chain of terrifying events.

On her first day at the academy, Suzy is greeted by staff including Ms. Tanner and Madame Blanc, who seems to have a friendly interest in her background. The atmosphere is tense as detectives investigate Pat's murder, yet Suzy feels an inexplicable memory eluding her.

Suzy befriends fellow students Olga and Sara, who reveal unsettling information about Pat's nosy behavior. The first hint of a dark secret comes when Suzy recalls Pat's mysterious words about a 'secret' and 'iris'.

After moving into a dorm, Suzy experiences unsettling occurrences, including a sudden maggot infestation from spoiled food. This also furthers the tension as the girls must sleep together in a practice hall, separated from faculty.

Suzy and Sara hear unsettling noises each night as the faculty supposedly leave the school. The unsettling rhythm of footsteps hints at their hidden activities and builds tension as the two girls dive deeper into the mystery surrounding them.

In a chilling turn of fate, Daniel, the blind pianist, is brutally attacked and killed by his own guide dog while he senses lurking shadows in a deserted piazza. This event marks a significant escalation in the school’s dark occurrences.

Suzy learns about the school’s dark history from Sara's psychologist, revealing its roots in the occult under the founder Helena Markos. Suzy starts to connect the dots linking the recent murders to witchcraft.

After isolating herself, Suzy discovers the coven of witches conducting a dark ritual. Hiding behind curtains, she learns they are planning her death, and the atmosphere thickens with menace as the true threat of the academy is unveiled.

Desperate to escape, Suzy realizes she must confront Helena Markos, the school's wicked directoress. She finds Sara’s corpse and narrowly escapes an apparition of Sara, intensifying the urgency of her escape from the school.

In a climactic showdown, Suzy confronts the invisible Markos and stabs her with a shard from a statue. The ensuing chaos awakens the spirits around them, leading to an explosion of power and destruction within the academy.

As the building burns and chaos reigns, Suzy exits the academy, seemingly free from the malevolent grip of the witches. In a final moment, she reflects on her power and newfound freedom while the school crumbles behind her.
