The village is torn by a feud between Hindu Seetaramayya and Christian Stephen. Once close 25 years ago, their families now live in bitter rivalry, affecting wives and sons Balaramayya and Moses. The fracture seeds years of conflict that set the stage for future tragedy.

Janaki, Seetaramayya's daughter, and Robert, Stephen's younger son, fall in love despite opposition. They secretly marry, choosing love over tradition, which hardens the feud. Their elopement marks the catalyst that deepens the enmity between families.

In the present day, Chandu (son of Janaki and Robert) arrives with his friend Gopi hoping to mend fences. Both families reject him because of the feud that still divides them. They end up sheltering with Nadabrahmam, the eccentric singer, who takes them in.

Chandu's grandmothers arrange two possible marriages for him to ease tensions. He tries to dodge these arrangements, preferring to stay out of the matchmaking. The plan underscores the families' stubborn pride even as Chandu eyes reconciliation.

On Gopi's advice, Chandu claims he has already married a woman named Nirmala Mary to gain leverage with the families. A woman claiming to be Nirmala Mary shows up, but she exposes herself as Priyadarsini, the real daughter of Janaki and Robert. The deception backfires and complicates his mission.

In a parallel flashback, Chandu and Gopi are unemployed orphans living as tenants in a penthouse near a ladies' hostel. Nandini, daughter of Balaramayya, and her friends are preparing for a music competition. Chandu helps them indirectly, they win, and he and Nandini become friends; he falls for her.

Nandini introduces Lawrence, Moses's son, as her fiancé, leaving Chandu heartbroken. Lawrence and Nandini ask Chandu to bless their marriage without telling their families. Chandu agrees and resolves to unite the families for their love.

Nirmala, who is actually Priyadarsini, secretly harbors feelings for Chandu and supports his efforts. Her presence helps him stay focused on reconciling the families. The intertwined romance motivates him to push forward despite risk.

After a string of comedic situations, Chandu succeeds in bringing the old people back into the same room. He uses empathy and persistence to bridge religious divides. The households begin to see love may supersede tradition.

Balaramayya and Moses discover their children's relationship and react with anger. Chandu steps in to defend the young lovers, taking blows and suffering injuries. The moment proves his willingness to sacrifice for reconciliation.

Lawrence and Nandini defy religious boundaries by choosing to marry. Seetaramayya and Stephen begin to understand the importance of love over creed. The families move toward forgiveness and unity.

Robert and Janaki arrive, confirming Chandu's parentage and his role in bringing the families together. The truth solidifies his place in the new union and the community's acceptance. The revelation marks the emotional turning point of the reconciliation.

Chandu is offered the chance to marry Nirmala/Priyadarsini, but he declines. He reveals he has already loved someone else and will cherish those memories forever. The film closes with him walking away, symbolizing the costs and rewards of pursuing love.
