During an archaeological expedition to the far edge of the known universe, Professor Daiba unintentionally releases an ancient horror. Five years later, the malevolent alien entity initiates a scheme that draws the scattered crew of the Arcadia back together, prompting them to resume their star‑sailing voyage and bringing Tadashi Daiba face‑to‑face with Captain Harlock once more.
