At an upscale beauty salon, a wealthy client applying a mud pack mistakenly invites salon workers Thelma and Patsy, thinking they are genteel acquaintances she can present to a visiting count. As they head to the gala, the hostess leaves to tend a sick dog. Thelma strives for elegance, but Patsy—armed with practical jokes and a bra full of trick gadgets—upends the soirée, prompting the butler to recall the hostess and leaving the pair’s brief taste of high society in jeopardy.
