Jimmy Canfield, a Broadway star, headlines a patriotic WWI show on the Great White Way. Though he plays a heroic soldier, he shirks enlistment. To dodge actress Berenice’s trouble, he pretends to join the army, only to be sent overseas. In France he falls for a barmaid, is accused of spying, escapes prison and ends up in a German officer’s uniform, leading enemy troops into an Allied trap.
