Short Circuit (2019) Spoiler-Free Summary – What It's About

In a near‑future city where technology hums beneath every streetlamp, Samay drifts through a routine life as an unassuming IT specialist. The world around him is sleek yet oddly fragile, a place where the glow of screens masks deeper currents of unseen ambition. Amid the hum of servers and the quiet rhythm of daily commutes, a subtle sense of unease lingers—as if the very fabric of time is waiting for a spark.

When a brilliant but morally ambiguous scientist unveils an experiment that threatens to trap reality in an endless recurrence, Samay is inadvertently pulled into the core of the scheme. The scientist’s vision, cloaked in lofty ideals, masks a darker agenda that could rewrite the rules of cause and effect. As the ordinary world begins to glitch around him, the ordinary IT professional finds himself confronting concepts far beyond troubleshooting code.

At the heart of the unfolding tension is Samay's love, a steady presence who grounds him even as the world spirals. Their bond becomes a quiet anchor, reminding him of what truly matters beyond the binary. Together, they navigate a reality that flickers like a broken loop, each moment a chance to glimpse a different outcome.

The film balances the sleek aesthetics of a high‑tech thriller with an undercurrent of personal stakes, inviting the audience to wonder how far a single individual can push against the inexorable pull of destiny. With a tone that weaves curiosity, subtle humor, and a pulse‑quickening sense of urgency, the story sets the stage for a battle not just against a mastermind, but against the very flow of time itself.
