Set in May 1615 during the climax of Osaka’s summer campaign, the film follows directly after “Ninja 4: Mist Saizo, Last of the Ninja.” With the Shogun’s forces closing in, the ninja Mist Saizo strives to rescue the Sanada Clan and avenge his fallen lord by targeting the first Tokugawa shogun. New, previously unseen ninja techniques are displayed as Saizo launches a daring solo assault on the Shogun’s palace.
