Rosemonde, known as “the Princess,” dominates a Paris‑suburban slum. When Herbert, a reporter investigating local pollution, becomes trapped in her grinding‑machine invention, she begins trafficking the extracted bones to church officials who venerate them as relics. Inspector Adrian Bondu takes on the case, but the arrival of a young, Jesus‑like hippie awakens unexpected, profoundly human feelings in Rosemonde.
