Shaolin Prince

The 9th Prince secretly plots to seize the throne by killing the Emperor and his newborn sons. The Emperor is slain, triggering chaos as Gu Long and Li Chin scramble to protect the princes. A pursuit by the Prince's assassins Fire Man and Water Man ends with Tao Hing and Wong Szu Tai being separated.

Gu Long and Li Chin flee with Tao Hing and Wong Szu Tai after the assassination. The bodyguards manage to escape, but the two babies are separated amid the pursuit. The brothers grow up apart, unaware of each other's fate.

Tao Hing is taken to Shaolin Temple and placed under the protection of the 3 Holy Fools, who shield him from Shaolin corruption. He learns the Yijin Jing kung fu style, but remains naive about his lineage, still carrying the royal seal. He frequently clashes with the treacherous monk Dao Kong.

Wong Szu Tai grows up under the care of Prime Minister Wang and Gu Long, aware of his existence and the threat of the 9th Prince. He knows his brother exists but does not know where he is. The Prince becomes aware of Wong’s knowledge and tests his skills from afar.

The 9th Prince visits the Prime Minister to probe whether Wong knows kung fu. Wong deliberately refrains from showing his full power, recognizing the danger of provoking the Prince. The moment foreshadows the later confrontation between brothers.

A staged exorcism by monk Dao Kong spirals out of control, leaving Tao Hing to fend for himself. A passing Wong Szu Tai rescues him and the two form an unexpected friendship as they escape danger. The encounter foreshadows the twins’ fateful reunion.

Tao Hing offers to escort Wong Szu Tai to Shaolin, angering Dao Kong. The two reach Shaolin and are confronted by monks who require them to pass tests before granting access to the Yijin Jing manual. The journey cements their bond and sets them on a shared quest.

Wong Szu Tai fights to reach the Yijin Jing manual, but is thwarted by the Shaolin tests. Tao Hing defeats Dao Kong and rescues his ally, but both must pass the 18 Buddhas’ trials. The 3 Holy Fools intervene as the house arrest nears its end, allowing them to access the manual.

The 9th Prince and Dao Kong intercept Tao Hing and Wong Szu Tai at an inn. Dao Kong is killed by Tao Hing in the ensuing clash, clearing the path for their next move and hardening Tao Hing’s resolve.

Tao Hing and Wong Szu Tai travel to confront the puppet emperor. After overhearing him, Tao Hing realizes the emperor is a good man manipulated by the 9th Prince. This creates a rift between the brothers over how to handle the situation.

Wong Szu Tai attacks the puppet emperor in anger, and Tao Hing protects him, using the Yijin style on Wong in a tense moment. The two briefly split paths, but are soon intercepted by Fire Man and Water Man. Tao Hing arrives to help defeat the assassins and they reconcile.

The duo returns to the Prime Minister’s house to find everyone dead except the Prime Minister and Gu Long. Tao Hing kneels to help Gu Long, accidentally drops the royal seal, and Gu Long dies with the line 'we found him!' conveying the revelation of Tao Hing’s identity.

Tao Hing and Wong Szu Tai realize they are brothers and vow to reclaim their lineage. They decide to return to Shaolin to face the 9th Prince together, setting aside past divisions.

The brothers return to Shaolin to confront the 9th Prince and prevail. Wong Szu Tai receives his rightful lineage, while Tao Hing becomes a senior monk alongside the 3 Holy Fools, solidifying his place at Shaolin.
