In 2086, Earth’s axis tilted ninety degrees, triggering a three‑year catastrophe that killed about ten billion people. One million Moon colonists escaped the disaster, later called “The Great Fall”. From the Moon they formed the Panhuman World Government and began recolonizing Earth, selecting seven sites as the first cities for the massive rebuild.
