Young Mandy (Yo Yo Mung) leaves Hong Kong’s hectic streets and a failed romance for the peaceful island of Peng Chau. She rents a room in a modest boarding house with mute, simple‑minded Kam Shui (Louis Koo). Though reluctant, she falls for his gentle nature, while his tomboyish friend Angel (Siu Au), who also loves Kam Shui, watches with jealousy. Director Derek Chiu captures the island’s quiet rhythms in a tender, Truffaut‑evoking love story.
