Scott and Sid's first meeting as high school students marks the beginning of an unlikely friendship. Scott is a restless dreamer, determined to forge his own path and defy expectations. A troubled teen, he's already attended five high schools by fifteen, struggling with nightmares, alienation, and difficult foster relationships. Sid, yearning for acceptance, is an awkward and reclusive young man shaped by a difficult, impoverished background that left him little time for socializing or personal pursuits.
