When she needs a fresh start, Sasha shaves her head. After her grandfather—who raised her—falls ill with cancer, she must leave the small town she knows and move to her father's apartment in the Moscow suburbs. In the capital, strangers mistake her shaved, disoriented appearance for a boy’s, thrusting her into a wandering exploration of the city’s lonely, hidden corners as she searches for identity and belonging.
