Almodóvar’s short film dramatizes the origin of the veil. Abraham and his son Isaac meet Salomé, who dances and demands Isaac’s head. Isaac flees, is hypnotised, then returns. As Abraham prepares to strike, God declares the scene a test of temptation. Salomé is presented as divine, and Abraham is told women should cover themselves as respect.
