Saba Nayagan

Saba is caught drunk and involved in a public nuisance in Chennai. He pleads with the police to release him, but only the officer who listens to his love story decides to let him go. He begins narrating his life story to pass the time inside the police jeep.

In 2008, Saba, then in eleventh grade, develops a crush on Eesha but struggles to express his feelings. He learns from friends that she is interested in Ashwin, a twelfth grader, but later finds out she talks casually with him, not in love. Saba feels disappointed but doesn't confess his love at that time.

On the farewell day of school in 2009, Saba hopes to confess his love to Eesha but refrains due to his friend SS Karthik. Meanwhile, Karthik is heartbroken after Gayathri rejects his proposal. Saba leaves school without speaking to Eesha and later joins college in Coimbatore, where he meets Riya and falls in love again.

At engineering college, Saba introduces Riya to his friend Gokul, hoping he can act as a messenger to Riya. However, Gokul and Riya fall in love, leaving Saba single once more. He continues his life balancing relationships and friendship.

After graduation, Saba meets Eesha at her boutique in Chennai, where they realize they knew each other from school. Eesha introduces him to Gayathri, who has knowledge of his school days. Saba helps Eesha’s sister Preethi, strengthening his connection with her family.

Eesha and Saba grow closer, and Eesha introduces him to her friends, including Aravinth. When Eesha confronts SS Karthik's pretentiousness, she slaps him after discovering his lies. Saba records a video ending his relationship with Eesha as instructed by SS Karthik, causing emotional turmoil.

Despite ending their relationship, Saba remains mesmerized by Eesha, especially when he sees her in a saree. He struggles to move on, but he still cares deeply for her, revealing lingering feelings and emotional conflict.

Saba enrolls in an MBA college, where he meets Megha. They develop a close bond and eventually fall in love. Saba finds happiness again, and their relationship marks a positive turning point in his love journey.

During the police jeep journey, goons attempt to attack the officers, but Saba intervenes and saves them. The sub-inspector Vishnu thanks Saba, not just for saving his life but also for helping him understand love better.

Vishnu shares that in college, he had five friends and was advised to fall in love with Deepthi, which he did, leading to a breakup. Saba listens as Vishnu reflects on love and decisions, demonstrating life lessons learned along his journey.

The film concludes with a reunion of SVB school alumni. Saba reveals he faked his love story and arrest to help Vishnu realize what a soulmate truly is. The event ends with Saba and Deepthi sharing a meaningful glance, hinting at a future together.
