In 1986 Nagasaki, Hisada lives with her family. Though arguments are common, she idolises Yuki Saito. She convinces classmate Takemoto, shunned by peers, to go to Boomerang Island to “see the dolphins.” The trip causes near‑drowning, entanglement with Yankees and mishaps, but the challenges deepen their friendship, ending in a farewell‑looming incident.
