In reality, trumpet player Herb Alpert is the only other live performer; the remaining guests appear only in archival clips, some taken from earlier Savings Bonds spots and others from various movies or TV shows. Singer Barbara McNair is shown performing for U.S. troops in Vietnam, and the youth ensemble The Young Americans adds a musical number.
