Samantha 'Sam' O'Hara, a skilled mercenary, gathers her multinational team to discuss their operation. They are tasked with the urgent rescue of Asilia Wilson, the daughter of a governor kidnapped for ransom, alongside her friends Chloe and Tessa.

Asilia, Chloe, and Tessa are abducted by Zalaam, the leader of a militant terrorist group tied to al-Shabaab. The girls are taken hostage, and their lives hang in the balance as demands for ransom loom over them.

Despite the plan only focusing on Asilia, Sam decides to also rescue Chloe and Tessa. This risky choice indicates her commitment to protecting all the hostages as they embark on their dangerous mission.

The team's initial extraction goes wrong when their helicopter is shot down by an RPG. They are immediately thrust into a chaotic situation, fending off Zalaam's militia while trying to regroup.

In a bid to escape Zalaam's forces, the mercenaries are forced to leap into a river below. In the chaos, they lose most of their equipment, including their satphone, complicating their ability to communicate with their employers.

Upon reaching the shoreline, tragedy strikes again as Chloe is killed by a crocodile. This shocking moment serves as a grim reminder of their perilous environment, pushing Sam to urge the remaining members to keep moving.

The team stumbles upon an abandoned game farm previously operated by poachers. As night falls, they become the prey of a vengeful lioness, leading to a deadly encounter that leaves several members of the team in grave danger.

Elijah is the first to be brutally killed by the lioness, catalyzing panic within the group. As they scramble for safety, Bo suffers serious injuries during a frantic attempt to evade the predator.

Sam and Joey manage to activate the power generator at the farm, allowing them to call for extraction just as the situation grows dire. However, the joy is short-lived when Barasa is also mauled by the lioness.

Pata warns the team that Zalaam will not easily release Asilia due to her significance to her father. As tension builds within the group, they grapple with past traumas and the threat of the terrorist leader.

As the lioness attacks again, the team engages in a fierce battle against Zalaam's fighters. Sam and Pata lead the charge, and in an unexpected act of bravery, Asilia herself kills one of the terrorists.

Pata confronts Masakh, the second-in-command and the murderer of his family. With Sam's assistance, he faces his demons, achieving a harrowing form of vengeance even as he suffers fatal wounds in the process.

As the chaos escalates, Joey and Bo watch helplessly as Bo succumbs to his injuries with Joey by his side. With losses mounting, the group looks for any possible way to escape their fate.

Zalaam captures Tessa and proposes a trade for Asilia. In a clever ploy, Sam uses the lioness as leverage, luring Zalaam into the barn where the beast waits, leading to a climactic showdown.

With the dawn breaking, Sam, Joey, and the two girls make their way towards the waiting helicopter as the lioness spares them. They reflect on their harrowing experiences and the resolve to escape hanging heavy in the air.

The film concludes with a postscript highlighting that the story is fictional. It raises awareness about the illegal lion farms that exist and emphasizes the urgent need to put an end to such cruel practices.
