A documentary weaving new‑jazz music with the city that births it—New York—and the artists who perform. Commentary from saxophonist Charles Gayle and bassists William Parker and Germany’s Peter Kowald guides the film. Shot on 16 mm, it remains singular, and although several featured musicians have died, their spirit endures.
