Rise: Blood Hunter

Reporter Sadie Blake publishes a headline about a secret Gothic party scene, drawing attention from readers and authorities. The night after publication, her source Tricia Rawlins is invited by a friend to an isolated house where such a party is planned.

Kaitlyn goes in alone; Tricia follows to look out for her friend. Inside, they find Kaitlyn in the basement with two vampires drinking her blood. Tricia tries to hide, but the vampires quickly locate her.

The next day, Sadie learns of the girls' deaths and launches an investigation into the incident. Her persistence draws the attention of the vampire cult, marking her as a potential threat to their secret world.

The vampire cult captures Sadie, subjecting her to violence and killing her. The assault marks the death of the journalist and the turning point of the story.

Rawlins stabs Sadie with a silver crossbow bolt; her body falls to the morgue, and the end credits roll as she comes back to life, suggesting an unresolved fate.
