Revenge

Michael J. 'Jay' Cochran, a U.S. Navy aviator, leaves the service after twelve years. He receives a matched pair of Beretta shotguns and an invitation from Tiburon 'Tibey' Mendez to spend time at his hacienda in Mexico, signaling the start of a dangerous new chapter.

Cochran travels to Mexico and is welcomed by Tibey. He presents Tibey with a Navy G-1 flight jacket, underscoring their close friendship. Miryea is introduced amid Tibey's lavish surroundings, hinting at the power dynamic at play.

In a private meeting, Tibey's right-hand man Cesar asserts brutal standards and discipline, especially toward family and friends. Cochran's independent, non-employee attitude rubs Cesar the wrong way. Tibey demonstrates his control by killing one of Cesar's crude associates to set the tone.

During the party, Miryea and Cochran develop a romantic attraction. The tension between Cochran's loyalty to Tibey and his growing feelings for Miryea becomes a central conflict. Their connection hints at trouble ahead.

Cochran and Miryea have sex at the party, and Cochran reveals his intent to leave Mexico. Miryea begs him to stay, and he agrees to remain, planning a secret rendezvous at his cabin in the Mexican countryside.

Miryea tells Tibey she will visit her sister in Miami, but Tibey overhears and drives her to the airport, kissing her goodbye. Cochran waits inside the terminal, and they drive off to his cabin together.

Tibey and his men ambush Cochran at the cabin. Cochran's dog Rocky is shot dead, and Miryea is slashed across the face, leaving a deep scar. Cochran is beaten, the cabin is set on fire, and Cochran is dumped in the desert to die.

Tibey takes Miryea to a brothel where she is degraded as a sex slave. She is disfigured, raped, and drugged, and ultimately infects herself with AIDS by sharing a needle with a man who is also involved, choosing death over a life of misery.

A critically wounded Cochran is discovered by Mauro, a peasant farmer, whose family nurses him back to health. He retrieves money hidden in the burnt cabin, and Mauro drives him toward town, offering him support for revenge.

On the road to Durango, a Texan transporting a horse offers Cochran a ride. They form a wary alliance, and the Texan dies peacefully in his car as Cochran continues toward his goal.

In Durango, Cochran teams up with Amador and Ignacio to locate Miryea and plan vengeance. They capture a Tibey henchman who reveals Miryea's whereabouts and points them toward the brothel.

Cochran and his allies ambush Tibey and his bodyguard during Tibey's morning horseback ride. Tibey reveals that Miryea is in a convent, guiding them toward an even more sorrowful fate.

Cochran arrives at the convent hospice to tell Miryea that he loves her. She returns his love, and moments later she dies in his arms, leaving Cochran to mourn the loss of the woman he loved.
