Anand is a successful businessman who leads a shadowy predatory life, preying on young women. His crimes are video-recorded and watched by his adoptive father and mentor, a bitter man who shares a similar disillusionment with women. The two men maintain a façade of respectability while cultivating Anand's darkest impulses.

Anand's predatory acts culminate in the murder of several young women, their bodies hidden away in the garden of his mansion. The victims are buried beneath the soil as a rosebush is grown above the graves. The secrecy around these acts is maintained, hidden from the outside world.

The elderly mentor remains holed up in a far corner of the mansion, watching his son carry out the killings because he is too infirm to do it himself. He observes from a distance, reinforcing the cycle of violence and complicity. His presence underscores the dysfunctional bond between them.

Sharda, a conservative undergarments salesgirl, meets Anand and attracts his interest. She resists his advances and insists that any intimate relationship must wait until they are married. This meeting marks the start of a dangerous, entangled relationship.

The romance between Anand and Sharda deepens, and she believes marrying him could be a path to reform him. For a time, the relationship appears to offer a chance at redemption for Anand. The couple's happiness is precarious, built on a fragile illusion about his true nature.

As Sharda tries to act normal while planning an escape, Anand returns and realizes that Sharda knows the truth about his deeds. A tense chase erupts through the mansion and grounds as the couple's precarious plans unravel. The pursuit exposes the fragility of Anand's control.

The chase ends in a graveyard late at night, where Anand stumbles and falls onto a cross that pierces him. The fatal moment underscores the consequences of a life built on violence. In the ensuing pursuit, the police close in and arrest him.

Anand is jailed after the arrest and begins to lose his predatory urges. In prison, he becomes mentally retarded and loses the violent drive that defined his life. His memories fade, and he repeats Sharda's name as his only coherent thought.

With his mind broken, Anand's memories vanish and he is left repeating Sharda's name. The once-dominant predator forgets his crimes, leaving the final state of his relationship with Sharda ambiguous while the garden graves remain as a silent memorial.
