Cash visits his brother-in-law Finney and Savannah at a farm surrounded by greenery. Savannah is close to birthing a mare, and the trio tends to the animals together. Finney reveals memories of his late wife, underscoring the fragile stability of their life.

Later, they go to church where Pastor Wilder delivers a sermon about letting go of a violent life and answering a higher calling. The two men share a history, suggesting old rivalries still simmer beneath the surface. Savannah shows Wilder a pocket knife, signaling her growing independence and suspicion.

At Finney's table, Savannah interacts with men who sit with them—gang members Cash knows from his past. He leans in and urges Savannah to disengage and stay safe. The moment foreshadows the threat that will pull them back into the violence they tried to leave behind.

Cash learns Finney owes Big Cat money. He tries to get help from the sheriff, but the system proves useless, and a visit to Zeke, Big Cat's son, goes nowhere. The debt casts a long shadow over the household and sets the plot in motion.

Savannah breaks free from guards and shoots the watcher; a chaotic showdown follows where Wilder fights, Cash is wounded, and Big Cat is pursued. In the end, Savannah kills Big Cat, and the epilogue shows her tending the farm with Wilder preaching again, both bearing the scars of the war they survived.
