In London, film student Sue McKinley stumbles upon the diary of her grandfather James, a British Army colonel who oversaw the capture and execution of Bhagat Singh, Sukhdev, and Rajguru. The diary reveals his quiet admiration for their revolutionary spirit even as he remains part of the empire he serves.

She travels to India to make a film about the young freedom fighters and teams up with local associate Sonia. Together, they begin a search for actors to bring the story to life.

Sue meets Sonia’s circle of friends and begins casting: Daljit 'DJ' Singh as Azad, Karan Singhania as Bhagat Singh, Sukhi Ram as Shivaram Rajguru, and Aslam Khan as Ashfaqulla Khan. The cast grounds the project in the hunger for justice that inspired the originals.

They clash over casting decisions when Sue drafts Laxman Pandey as Ram Prasad Bismil, straining their budding camaraderie. Despite the dispute, they press on with the project.

Ajay's death in a MiG-21 crash shocks Sonia and the group. The government labels it a pilot error, but the friends suspect corruption behind the crash, including dubious defense contracts that implicate powerful figures like Shashtri, while Karan learns his father may be involved.

A peaceful protest at India Gate turns brutal when the police brutalize demonstrators, leaving Ajay’s mother Aishwarya traumatized and in a coma. Laxman’s faith in his party fractures as he uncovers Raghuvir Mishra’s ties to the crackdown, pushing him toward the revolutionary cause.

Fueled by anger and a growing sense of purpose, the friends decide to act. Their resolve deepens as they align around a plan to challenge the authorities and expose corruption.

They assassinate Shashtri to avenge Ajay’s death, taking the first violent step in their campaign against the corrupt system.

Karan confronts and murders Rajnath Singhania, his own father, turning the rebellion into a full-scale confrontation with the state. To ensure their message cannot be dismissed, they seize All India Radio and prepare to broadcast.

They broadcast a charged public statement from All India Radio, laying bare government corruption and demanding accountability. The broadcast triggers a swift police response and a nationwide outcry.

The police flood the streets as violence erupts around the government center. Sukhi is shot, Aslam and Laxman are killed by a grenade, and DJ is gravely wounded.

In the recording room, Karan and DJ share a final moment before they are killed together as their message rings out.

News of the killings sparks demonstrations across the nation, energizing protests and demanding change. Aishwarya awakens from her coma, joining the survivors in mourning.

The film closes with Sue recounting the experience of making the documentary and meeting the boys. The deceased appear in an afterlife, meeting a young Bhagat Singh in a peaceful garden-like setting that hints at the enduring spirit of their struggle.
