Regina later learns from a friend that Surya has committed suicide in the US, shattering her hopes. The news triggers another episode of fits and leaves her emotionally devastated. The tragedy becomes a defining memory that shapes her feelings and choices.

In an earlier flashback, John falls in love with Keerthana and they marry. The day after their wedding, Keerthana is struck by a car and dies, leaving John heartbroken. Four years later, Sarathy consoles him and convinces him to remarry, setting the stage for his renewed life with Regina.

Back in the present, Regina begins to like John and he returns the feeling, but neither openly acknowledges their growing affection. They move forward with tentative tenderness while guarding their feelings from each other.

Regina's request to transfer to Australia is approved, and she begins preparing to leave. John misreads her actions—especially the beer she previously bought—as attempts to push him toward divorce rather than a farewell.

At the airport, Regina tells John that she bought him a beer and that she is leaving for Australia. He goes to see Surya at the emigration counter after she mentions him, hoping to resolve the past.

Surya denies his current life and claims he is happily married, saying he was forced to leave by his father and that he faked his own suicide to help Regina move on. He glances at the ring Regina had given him, a symbol that memories of their relationship will linger.

Regina slaps John in anger, then throws the unopened gift she had given him. When John finally opens it, he reads 'Let's begin our new Life' and they realize their true love, choosing to start their life together at last.
