As the gang arrives at Camp Remote, deep within the mountains, they are suddenly thrown into the challenging realities of camp life. The rustic backdrop sharply contrasts with their usual Peanuts adventures, forcing the kids to quickly adjust to strict rules and limited amenities. Amidst the turmoil, they confront a group of fierce bullies and their terrifying sidekick, Brutus, a bobcat whose ferocity can intimidate even the bravest, including Snoopy and Woodstock. While they usually boast about their annual rafting successes, they find themselves unsettled when Linus uses his trusty security blanket as an unexpected whip. This surprising action not only attracts the unwanted interest of Sally but also reveals that the bullies have been using dishonest methods to secure their victories, relying on a high-tech raft outfitted with an outboard motor, radar, and other deceptions to sabotage their opponents.

The kids are then split into three teams. The boys’ team, led by Charlie Brown who is cautiously stepping into a leadership role, includes Linus, Schroeder, and Franklin. Meanwhile, the girls’ squad is under the oversight of Peppermint Patty, whose mix of confidence and incompetence consists of Marcie, Sally, Lucy, along with Snoopy and Woodstock. As the camp activities kick off, it becomes evident that Charlie Brown’s hesitation to lead contrasts with Peppermint Patty’s overwhelming self-assuredness. Her leadership style often resembles a dictatorship, demanding secret votes for even trivial decisions, and resorting to overruling when outcomes do not align with her expectations, leaving her teammates feeling exasperated.

The stubborn bullies, propped up by their dishonest advantages, initially surge ahead in the rafting challenge. However, their negligence and lack of awareness ultimately culminate in disaster when they crash into a dock, costing them valuable time. As the competitions unfold, the beloved Peanuts characters are compelled to navigate a series of unforeseen obstacles, all while gathering essential lessons about teamwork, resilience, and the significance of playing fair.

As the river race progresses, the two teams are treated to stunning scenery, from majestic mountains to lush forests, and even a charming logging community on floating docks. Yet, this beautiful backdrop is often interrupted by hardships: disorientation, being stranded, fierce storms, and sabotage from the bullies. During the chaos, Snoopy sets aside the competition to search for his dear friend Woodstock after a storm separates them. In his search, he comes across an abandoned cabin, where he spends the night, only to be surprised by a curious bear lurking outside. After a long and challenging search, they ultimately find each other, sharing a joyous reunion, only to discover the girls claiming the cabin for themselves, leaving the boys, Snoopy included, to brave the cold outdoors.

As Charlie Brown’s role as a leader develops, he showcases an increasing ability to face challenges, demonstrating that he can manage even the most stressful situations. Although he faces unfair criticism for the race’s complications, Charlie Brown’s calm demeanor under pressure highlights his growing confidence. As the competition edges closer to its conclusion, it appears that the gang might have a shot at victory thanks to Charlie Brown’s burgeoning leadership. However, just when the mood shifts in their favor, Peppermint Patty inadvertently initiates a premature celebration among the girls, leading to the boys’ unceremonious tumble into the water. In their attempts to rescue the boys, the girls find themselves overboard as well. The bullies, seizing this unexpected opportunity, revel in their apparent lead, but their reckless arrogance and internal strife soon render their raft vulnerable to damage.

Just as they near the finish line, the bullies’ raft finally succumbs to its many troubles, leaving Snoopy and Woodstock as the final contenders. In a frantic effort to gain an edge, Brutus attacks Snoopy’s inner tube with his sharp claws. However, Woodstock quickly crafts a makeshift raft out of twigs and a sail from a single leaf to continue their quest for victory. With Brutus poised for another strike, Snoopy steps in, delivering a punch that sends the menace running in terror. The boastful bullies are reduced to silence as Snoopy, in a show of vengeance, subdues and chastises Brutus, forcing him to flee, terrified.

As the Peanuts gang heads home from this exhilarating adventure, Charlie Brown reflects on the journey and decides to embrace a new perspective. With renewed determination, he announces that this trip will serve as a turning point for cultivating self-confidence, assertiveness, and belief in himself. Yet, fate intervenes when the bus departs without him, leaving Charlie Brown to contemplate this unforeseen misfortune. Fortunately, Snoopy and Woodstock, embodying unwavering loyalty, rescue him on their motorcycle, providing Charlie Brown a ride home and showcasing the importance of having a support system in challenging times. As they cruise down the open road, Charlie Brown’s journey hints at further growth and self-discovery ahead.
