Querô, an orphan teen living alone on Santos’s docks, was raised in the bordello where his prostitute mother died when he was a baby. Convinced he controls his fate, he refuses any compromise—whether with corrupt police who chase him, the harsh Febem juvenile system, or drug dealers luring him. His fierce independence exacts a heavy price.
