In the heart of their enduring partnership as police detectives, Luis and Eddie are currently navigating their own personal challenges. Eddie, weighed down by the obligation to support his family and his desire to provide a better life for his wife Gloria, often finds himself caught between household responsibilities and professional demands. Meanwhile, Luis is lost in a cycle of transient romantic escapades with various women, much to the displeasure of his long-term girlfriend Vanessa.

Their lives take a dramatic turn when they receive an urgent call from Colette, a celebrated Parisian fashion designer, along with her reliable assistant Vincent. A priceless purse design has mysteriously vanished, and Colette doubts that the French authorities will manage to recover it in time. In her desperation, she travels to New York City seeking the services of these two exceptional detectives whom she believes can solve the case: Luis and Eddie.

Eager to take on the challenge, the duo travels to Paris, transforming their appearances with an assortment of disguises as they begin to question a line-up of suspects, all eager to offer significant bribes for any leads on the lost handbag. However, as each suspect is gradually exonerated, tensions start to brew between Luis and Eddie. The situation comes to a head after a night of excessive partying, leading to a fierce argument where the detectives decide to part ways.

In the wake of their fallout, Luis seeks comfort within the corporate world, where he uncovers an alarming truth: Colette had orchestrated the theft of her own design to demand a ransom. In a moment of opportunism, he snatches a pair of sunglasses from Vincent’s desk, a decision that would later turn out to be serendipitous. Meanwhile, Vincent confronts Colette at her studio, delivering the harsh news that she has been dismissed due to incompetence.

In a twist of fate, the seemingly beaten designer catches up with Luis and Eddie as they prepare to leave Paris, pleading for their assistance in clearing her name. It is at this moment she spots the incriminating sunglasses, dawning on her that Vincent had masterminded the entire theft. With the truth finally surfacing, Colette guides the detectives to a corporate board meeting where Vincent’s scheme to create cheap merchandise using her name is revealed.

Eddie’s sharp instincts enable him to pin down the whereabouts of the stolen purse, allowing Colette to reclaim her reputation. This experience also allows Eddie to prove that he is indeed a capable detective, standing up to Luis with his own skills.

Returning to New York City, Eddie surprises Gloria with a heartfelt gift that brings her immense happiness. Meanwhile, Luis comes to a significant realization about his feelings for Vanessa, culminating in a heartfelt proposal that features a dazzling engagement ring.
