Psych 2: Lassie Come Home

Chief Lassiter is ambushed while on duty and left for dead. He survives the attack but suffers a stroke during surgery, and his recovery is marked by strange, possibly supernatural visions. The near-death experience also casts doubt on his memory of what he saw before the shooting.

During his recovery, Lassiter experiences unusual hallucinations and converses with his deceased father who abandoned him. These visions blur his memory and raise questions about what he truly saw before the shooting. The recovery facility becomes the stage for unsettling, otherworldly interruptions.

Fearing he cannot be a reliable witness, Lassiter reaches out to Shawn and Gus and asks them to come to Santa Barbara to help. The duo travels from San Francisco to SB to assist him. Their presence shifts the balance of the investigation toward a more unconventional approach.

Dolores, Lassiter's nurse, claims the visions are side effects of the medicine and not real danger. She also harbors a crush on Gus, complicating the team's assessment of the case. The medical staff's credibility is called into question as suspicions grow.

Juliet begins her own investigation, and Chief Vick moves to become commissioner, attempting to shut down Juliet's inquiry. Tension grows between hospital-based investigations and police operations. The city teeters between internal politics and active pursuit of the truth.

Morrisey returns with a severed hand, which Shawn and Gus forward to Woody for analysis. The hand is identified as belonging to Devon Tileback, a CEO who had reportedly committed suicide, tying the case to a corporate crime web.

Lassiter claims to have seen a bleeding man seeking shelter in a building across from his facility, but the claim is muddled by his hallucinations and dismissed by others as unreliable. The line between vision and reality becomes increasingly blurred for the team.

Shawn and Gus chase a lead to Viking's Bar, where Tileback is believed to be hiding. They are pursued by Ova Asblorn's son Per and stumble into Tileback's hideout, where Tileback is killed by a sniper before he can speak. The case takes a sharp turn toward a violent confrontation.

Wilkerson, a fellow patient, awakens and explains he was Tileback's silent partner faking coma. He reveals there is an insider at the hospital who orchestrated events by feeding information. This exposes a broader conspiracy inside the recovery facility.

Investigators discover bloodied clothes with earmuffs from Viking's Bar; they deduce the insider is connected to the hospital and was blackmailing Tileback. The case expands beyond what anyone suspected, pointing toward deeper corruption.

Shawn uncovers that Per—Ova's son—was the muscle, colluding with the insider; Per confesses to shooting Lassiter. Ova's past as a former patient becomes part of the motive, linking the hospital's inner circles to the crime.

Dolores spikes Lassiter's pint with poison, but Lassiter is inspired by visions of his father and fights back, exploding the drink and subduing the nurse. The immediate threat is neutralized as the team closes in on the mastermind.

With the killers caught, Selene reveals she is pregnant and proposes to Gus, adding a personal twist to the victory. Henry and Juliet urge Lassiter to reunite with his wife Marlowe, who arrives and witnesses Lassiter take a few steps toward her as they reunite, signaling a hopeful future.
