A breakthrough synthetic metal skin called bio‑ferron promises life‑saving surgeries for burns and cancer, but the deranged lead scientist sees an opportunity to revive a secret project locked in cryogenic chambers beneath a government lab. He coerces his team into applying the living metal to frozen corpses, using three subjects who survived a botched experiment and are not truly dead.
