Mannu and Radha's romance faces explicit resistance from their families because Mannu comes from a modest background and Radha is still a minor. Radha's wealthy father and Mannu's constable father insist the couple stay at home and not pursue marriage. Their decision to defy these orders sets the stage for the journey ahead.

Radha defies her father's orders and escapes to Mannu's home to be with him. The lovers dream of marriage but must navigate opposition from both families.

To outpace the looming obstacles, Mannu and Radha flee the city with help from Sumitra, Mannu's mother, and Natwarlal, Radha's uncle. They seek safety and a chance to map a future away from parental scrutiny.

Natwarlal engineers a kidnapping scheme, convincing the couple to abduct Ashutosh, the heir to a wealthy family, as a ransom ploy. They believe the ransom money would impress Radha's father and secure their escape from poverty.

Ashutosh proves clever and ends up kidnapping Mannu and Radha instead. The trio enters a tense game where they must evade both law enforcement and rivals while on the run.

With Ashutosh, Mannu and Radha learn that Shivangi Mehra is Ashutosh's girlfriend who was separated due to a misunderstanding with his father. They also discover that Ashutosh's mother Suman is in the hospital, adding urgency to their predicament.

Mannu and Radha uncover Natwarlal's true identity as an escaped convict working for Thakral. They learn that both men plan to kill them and Ashutosh to seize the fortune.

Natwarlal calls Ashutosh's father, falsely claiming his son has been kidnapped. The missing-person report reaches the police, and Inspector Shivangi Mehra is assigned to the case.

A chaotic pursuit unfolds as Mannu, Radha, and Ashutosh slip from both police and Thakral's men. The situation bleeds into slapstick moments, earning laughs despite the danger. The chase underscores the lovers' desperate bid for freedom.

Shivangi catches up to the fugitives and helps organize a plan to reunite Ashutosh with Shivangi, addressing the misunderstanding that separated them. Mannu and Radha seize the moment to facilitate the romance and keep their own alliance intact.

In the climax, Natwarlal and Thakral are exposed and punished for their crimes. The double threat to the kidnapped group is neutralized, restoring order and safety.

Ashutosh's love is revealed to Shivangi, and both couples are reunited with their families. The film ends on a hopeful note as relationships are mended and everyone returns home safe.
