At fourteen Joseph Smith answered a prayer that led him to translate Book of Mormon and restore the gospel of Jesus Christ. His leadership drew pioneers to the frontier, forming the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter‑day Saints. Martyred at thirty‑eight, his legacy lives on in Saints worldwide, who sing ‘Praise to the Man who Communed with Jehovah.’
