On Thanksgiving, Popeye tends a turkey while his three nephews plan to cook it. Unable to kill it, he tells a flashback of his pilgrim days when a wily turkey saved his life. The turkey outsmarts Popeye, begs for spinach, then becomes an eagle, rescuing Popeye from captured Indians and turning some foes into a totem pole. The nephews return, ready to serve a turkey‑spunach feast.
