Robin 'Rob' Feld, a reclusive chef, forages for truffles in the Oregon wilderness alongside his loyal pig. Despite his tragic past, he finds solace in the simple joys of hunting for culinary treasures.

Rob sells his prized truffles to Amir, a young and inexperienced seller. Their unique partnership begins, blending Rob's expertise and Amir's ambition, although the latter often lacks the necessary experience.

One fateful night, Rob is brutally attacked by unknown assailants who steal his beloved pig. This violent intrusion shatters Rob's secluded life and reignites his connection to the outside world.

Desperate to find his pig, Rob enlists Amir’s help to track down the criminals. Their investigation soon leads them to a group of junkies who hint at a lead pointing them towards downtown Portland.

Rob and Amir infiltrate an underground fighting ring in search of additional clues regarding the pig’s whereabouts. This dangerous environment exposes them to the darker side of the city as they gather critical information.

The following day, while cooking breakfast, Amir reflects on the memories of Rob’s culinary strengths and a significant dinner at Rob's restaurant. This recollection stirs emotions about Amir’s own troubled family life.

Driven by information from the fighting ring, Rob confronts Derrick, the head chef of Eurydice. Tension mounts as they discuss dreams and betrayals, revealing Amir’s father’s involvement in the pig’s theft.

Rob confronts Amir’s father, Darius, with allegations regarding the theft of his pig. Darius offers a hefty sum for the pig's return but threatens dire repercussions if Rob does not comply.

While grappling with the shocking truth of his father’s involvement, Amir learns about his mother’s fate, battling with the revelation of her being in a coma and the darkness surrounding his family’s history.
