In a skid‑row mission hall, a preacher speaks while hungry men wait. After the sermon he reveals a pie, cutting it into tiny pieces—yet the two men at the back receive none. They walk to a junk dump, turning discarded items into a makeshift stage: a dress form becomes Mae West, a rusted car a wild ride. Later one dons a priest’s habit, promising “pie in the sky.” By the end they wear metal halos.
