An inept Ramesh struggles with eviction as a tenant because he repeatedly fails to pay his rent. To dodge homelessness, he adopts the disguise of an elderly man and gains entry into a house as a tenant, where he soon falls for the landlord’s daughter, Shanti. Shanti’s best friend, Chanchal, has married a famous barrister, Dayal, for money and status, and she becomes Shanti’s neighbor after the marriage.
